I was wondering; do you gain more experience when adventuring alone than with a party?

are these all the skills i can get before i go off to war? Professions are primary ranger, secondary elementalist. I have tried looking for new trainers but all the npc's point me to people I have already been to.

Can an identification kit be used more than once?

Is there another (less expensive) way of identifying items??

I quit World of Warcraft because its endgame content was unfriendly, almost hostile, to non-hardcore gamers.

How is GW's endgame PvE content? Is there anything interesting to do PvE-wise after you hit level 20? Are there large-scale "raid" encounters, as well as challenging missions for smaller parties?

Difficulty isn't what I'm worried about. Endgame content is supposed to be very challenging. But there's a difference between difficulty and accessibility. An epic endgame loot that requires 40 people to just reach, and relies on rolling the dice higher than everybody else on a 1% drop chance item has little to do with skill. PvP is great, I'm sure, but I also hope that there's a lot to sustain the player past level 20.

Default Connection Speed

Hello players!

I've been looking at Guild Wars for about 24 hours now, and everything about it thrills me. I do, however, have one proviso: do those of us unlucky enough to still be stuck on a dial-up connection see a noticable lag in performance and playtime? After reading all the stuff about real time streaming and level downloading, this is a little disheartening. The site said that it didn't make a difference, but I wanted to get some feedback from some who have dial up and play.

Thanks!

ID kits can be used 25 times.
As for 56k, a friend of mine plays on it and no lag whatsoever.
New files get downloaded before you play so you may have to wait a bit longer while it is updating but there is no noticeable lag when you're in.
Jay

EDIT: Oh, and you're missing a few ranger skills....Seek out Aiden

If you are talking about guild capes, then you don't need any material. Just enough gold to cover whatever cost it is (last count it was 2 platinum or 2000 gold).

Hello, I'm new to these forum.
Erm, anyway, I am interested in buying GW but would like to know how is it possible to download it (the Official Website gives the option for this). I mean, I dont understand how to get an access key (I'm sure you have to purchase it with a credit card, but I didnt see how).

Thanks in advance.

Please forgive my stupidity, RPG gaming is somewhat new to me. I enjoy it, but I get frustrated with 'not knowing".

Does anyone know of a link or anything that will assist a new RPG player? (or in particular with GW)... I make myself crazy trying to understand upgrading armor, weapons, spells etc. Thanks for any help.

Default Comparison vs. SWG

Any former (or current) Star Wars Galaxies (SWG) players here?

I am considering purchasing Guild Wars to replace the SWG I"ll no longer be playing.

I am interested in a contrast/comparison of Guild Wars vs. SWG. I realize that there's no crafting and/or player economy in Guild Wars. I'm more interested in the basic gameplay and combat system aspects.

After completing certain amount of quests, speak to Sir Tydus, near the academy gates. He will say something like "Are you ready to go? You will leave everything behind, etc, etc." And if you chose yes, then you will proceede to the real part of the game, which I won't spoil for you.

Ok I'm a n00b to all this. Just got the game wandered about a bit, danced a little. But I have to say I am really excited about the game, just need to get my bearings.
One dumb question , what happens if you get killed? My kids want to play but you only get four charicters for now, so do I buy another game just to add an account?
Thanx in advance.

You get a temporary 15% death penalty (15% less max health and energy) that you can work off as long as you are in that instance. It will be gone/resetted if you leave the area. If you are killed in a mission then you would have to restart; if you are killed in explorable areas you would be ressurected at the nearest rez point in that zone. Do a search for more detailed explanations.

You get 4 character slots and guild membership, friendlist, and storage are account based so you may want to get another copy for your kids if you don't want them to share these.
